Why Caire?
Pilot version live, solving a trillion-dollar global problem with AI. Short feedback loops, modern stack, real societal impact.
About Caire
Building Self-Driving Operations for Home Care
Caire is building self-driving operations for home care. Our AI-powered platform is already running in live pilots with multiple home-care providers, delivering clear improvements in efficiency, reduced travel time, and better continuity. Our SaaS platform gives providers smart resource planning, real-time optimization, and decision support.
Caire is now evolving from Level 2 AI-Assisted Planning (live today) to Level 3 Self-Driving Scheduling and ultimately Level 4 Predictive Autonomous Operations.
You will help build the platform that gets us there.
Why this role matters
Home care is one of the last trillion-dollar industries not yet automated by AI scheduling. Caire is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation — and engineering is the core of the company.
As a Full-Stack Developer, you will:
  • Build the AI OS of home care used by frontline caregivers and schedulers.
  • Work directly with the founder on architecture, performance, and new product capabilities.
  • Build real production systems that influence the daily lives of thousands of caregivers and vulnerable people.
  • Shape the technical foundation for our expansion across the Nordics and Europe.
What you'll do
Core responsibilities
  • Build and evolve our multi-tenant Level 2 → Level 3 scheduling & optimization platform.
  • Implement domain logic for staff, visits, vehicles, time windows, competencies, continuity scoring, and routing.
  • Build robust APIs and integrations (Carefox, Alfa eCare/Welfare, etc.).
  • Develop rich Bryntum SchedulerPro experiences with KPIs, utilization patterns, continuity insights, and live re-optimization.
  • Scale optimization workloads and the data model for hundreds of caregivers and thousands of daily visits per provider.
  • Instrument metrics, logs, and observability for solver performance, drift detection, and operational guardrails.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and high-security municipal-grade standards.
Advanced responsibilities (optional but welcome)
  • Contribute to new AI capabilities including vector matching, predictive models, and drift detection.
  • Implement parts of the Scenario Simulation Studio (what-if planning, continuity replay, staffing forecasts).
  • Work with hybrid solver stacks (Timefold + OR-Tools) for Level 3 real-time re-optimization.
Example: Your first 90 days
Ship an upgraded Bryntum + Next.js scheduling interface with live KPIs and continuity insights.
Improve performance of large-scale data loading (200+ employees, 2,000+ visits/day).
Build Pre-Planning UI components for weekly and monthly structures.
Implement improved API endpoints for long-term plans, solver results, and drift detection.
Add monitoring to track solver KPIs: latency, assignment rates, continuity scores, travel reduction.
Work with the founder to shape the Level 3 roadmap (real-time autonomous scheduling).
Tech Stack
